For over 10 years, Eileen worked in various capacities in Africa and developed a successful career as a business development specialist. In 2006, she founded “Intellect Consulting Ltd”. In 2012 the company re-branded to become “Coach Development Institute of Africa (CDI-Africa) Ltd in order to fully embody the organization’s mandate and vision.
Eileen holds various International professional coaching credentials which truly position her as a pioneer in the Eastern African region. She was the first one to be awarded the prestigious Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential by the International Coach Federation (ICF). In the Eastern Africa region, she was also the first one to develop a coach training curriculum that received ICF approval. This automatically made her organization to become the first institute domiciled I East Africa to receive ICF accreditation.

Eileen’s pioneering spirit saw her nominated in the “Top 40 under 40″ category (Business Daily, 2009) and thereafter, she has been featured in various local media (TV and Print media), authored series of leadership and career coaching articles published by “Management” (the regional monthly management journal published Kenya Institute of Management). She has also been a guest speaker in various HR forums and conferences regarding building a workplace coaching and mentoring culture.

In addition to one-on-one leadership coaching, Eileen is particularly passionate about embedding coaching and mentoring philosophy at the workplace. She terms it as the best approach to develop and retain talent, optimize productivity, develop a steady leadership pipeline, and build sustainable organizational growth and competitiveness. Borrowing from her mentor’s words, she terms this as her active legacy!

To advance the coaching industry in the region, Eileen steered the formation of the International Coach Federation (ICF) Kenya Chapter in 2011, which was officially launched in May 2015. Further, she has pursued partnerships with different seasoned institutes and industry leaders abroad to ensure that all her coaching and training programs have solid anchoring and are benchmarked on international standards.

Given her scope of her engagements, her tools for facilitating her clients to move forward are versatile; she trains, consults, coaches, mentors and offers advisory services depending on where her clients are and what they need to do next. This blend of approaches effortlessly propels her clients to greater heights!
