Dr. Vikki Brock is a master level coach, consultant and facilitator.  In 1994 Vikki G. Brock saw the need for coaches to assist people as companies transitioned to a more participative leadership style. In 1995, she left her 21-year career at The Boeing Company to start VB Coaching & Consulting with the mission of providing premier coaching services to leadership. Dr. Brock specializes in bringing a coach approach to leadership into business and industry. Her clients are high performance and high potential leaders and organizations undergoing transformation. Vikki defines coaching as ‘raising awareness, so people are at conscious choice’, and supports people worldwide to create success from inside themselves by their own definition

Since 2005, Vikki’s practice has expanded beyond North America to every continent. Committed to transformation at a global level, one-third of her clients are international leaders committed to making a difference in their country.

Vikki sweet spot is respectfully provoking seasoned individualists to take their leadership (and their life) to the next level – be they executives, business professionals, or cultural creatives.  Her direct collaborative coaching style stretches yet affirms simultaneously. She emphasizes authenticity, strengths, collaboration, and inclusion as the foundation for personal and organizational health and increased productivity.

Vikki specializes in bringing coaching skills into business and industry, and seeks out high performance individuals and organizations in transition. She partners with individuals in rediscovering who they are and increasing their satisfaction in how they earn a living.  As one manufacturing general manager stated, “through my work with Vikki I now know exactly how things must be done to achieve what I want.  I’ve learned to trust my instinct more and have confidence in what I am doing.”

She has coached numerous leaders, sales executives and coaches from Fortune 500 companies. A partial list of executive and leadership engagements includes Deloitte Touche, Paine Webber, Wachovia, Boeing, PG&E, AT&T Wireless, Bendix, Kodak, Sandia, Abbott Labs, Pfizer and Host Marriott. Vikki was on the executive coaching team of The Ken Blanchard companies from it’s inception to 2008. Examples of Vikki’s creativity include Active Legacy®, a coaching program she developed to help people recognize their behavior is their legacy, and co-developer of the 5E Leadership program, which supports individuals and organizations to identify, clarify and integrate talents and energies so performance, potential and success are realized.

Vikki has been involved in the education of coaches since 1997 when she became a faculty member of Coach University, and Corporate Coach U International in 1998. She has also been a faculty member for Academy for Coach Training (now InviteChange) and Erickson College International, and currently speaks as a guest lecturer for programs in the United States, Iceland, and Spain. As faculty for the University of Texas at Dallas Executive Coaching Certificate Program  since 2009, she leads group practicums and mentors coach students individually. One of three founders of Virano Solutions in 2012, she co-delivers the bilingual Arabic-English ACSTH “Certified Professional Coach Program”  in Kuwait. In December 2014 Dr. Brock became the examiner for the CDI-Africa Certified Workplace Coach program, which received ACSTH approval in March 2015. In April 2015 she accepted a faculty position in Darte and the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid for the program “Especialista Universitario en Coaching con Inteligencia Emocional y PNL”, where she will deliver a live weekend course beginning March 2016.

Vikki spent 21 years with The Boeing Company as manager, facilitator, trainer and consultant prior to becoming a coach. Experienced in both high technology Fortune 100 and not-for-profit business environments, she has special skills in improving the effectiveness and productivity of individuals, groups and business systems through:

  • Executive and leadership coaching and skills training
  • Team building, analysis of group dynamics and behavior preferences
  • Design and management of collaborative processes
  • Project management, information gathering and group feedback
  • Organization transformation, strategic planning and culture change

Vikki is credentialed at the master level by the International Coach Federation (MCC, Master Certified Coach) and Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (CEC, Certified Executive Coach).  A certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strengthscope assessment, she uses these tools to support clients in valuing diversity and better understanding themselves.  As an active member of the International Coach Federation Vikki was Chair of the Program Application Review Committee and Co-Chair of the Credentialing Committee from January 2005 thru June 2006.  Vikki currently teaches in the Executive Coaching Certificate Program at the University of Texas at Dallas. Throughout her university teaching, writing, international speaking, and coaching, Vikki emphasizes collaboration and inclusion.

In 1989, Vikki earned an Executive MBA from the University of Washington.  In June 2008 she completed her Ph.D. in Coaching and Human Development from the International University of Professional Studies.  Dr. Brock is committed to life-long learning and contributing to the field of coaching. The foremost subject matter expert on the roots and emergence of the coaching field, she served as Director of the History and Archive Division at the Coaching Commons, a project of the Harnisch Foundation (2005-2010). After six years of research, in May 2012 Dr. Brock published a Sourcebook of Coaching History.

Vikki provides sessions face-to-face at client sites and by telephone from her 50’ TriStar sailboat named Cuidado, which is moored in Ventura Harbor about an hour north of Los Angeles, California.
